Home Dictionary E Energy Risk Professional (ERP) Energy Risk Professional (ERP) is a professional title conferred by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). The ERP designation is filled in by persons working in the oil, coal, gas and alternative energy sectors. The ERP designation equates to degrees in different countries, such as a master’s degree in the United States. The purpose of the ERP exam is to assess the candidate’s ability to manage the physical and financial risks inherent in the energy world.
