FAANG is an acronym for the five most popular and best-performing US technology stocks.
These are: Meta (formerly known as Facebook); Amazon; Apple; Netflix; and Alphabet (formerly known as Google).
In addition to being widely known among consumers, the five FAANG shares are among the largest companies in the world.
Some have expressed concern that FAANG shares could be at the center of a bubble, while others argue that their growth is justified by the brilliant financial and operating performance they have shown in recent years.
– The term was coined by The Street correspondent Bob Lang and popularized by Jim Cramer on his CNBC TV show Mad Money.
The technology sector consists of businesses that sell goods and services in electronics, software, computers, artificial intelligence and other information technology (IT) related industries.
Bearer shares are unregistered equity securities owned by the owner of the physical shares documents. The issuing company pays dividends to holders of physical coupons.
Convertible preferred shares are a type of preferred shares that pay dividends and can be converted into ordinary shares at a fixed conversion rate after a certain period of time.
