GWACs are commonly used to acquire new technologies and are used primarily for information technology solutions.
GWACs are available through the US General Services Administration (GSA), the National Aerospace Association (NASA), and the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
In recent years, the popularity of GWAC has grown compared to contracts with a single agency.
