• The Group of Ten or G10 is a group of 11 industrialized countries with similar economic interests.

  • The G10 was formed when the richest members of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) agreed to become part of the General Loan Agreements (GAB) to provide more funds for the IMF to use.
  • The group meets at least once a year, if not more often, to discuss, debate and cooperate on financial matters relating to member countries.
  • The G10 is one of five “groups” of groups made up of various countries. Other groups are G7, G8, G20 and G24.
