The G-7 (G-7) is an intergovernmental organization that meets periodically to resolve international economic and monetary issues.
G-7 countries include USA, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Canada and Japan.
G-7 was formerly known as G-8 until Russia was excluded from the group in 2014 after the illegal annexation of Crimea.
The G7 is not an official, formal organization and therefore has no legislative or government power to enforce the recommended policies and plans it draws up.
