An inside day is a common technical chart pattern in which the high and low of one day are inside the high and low of the previous day.

It is believed that inside days signal a continuation pattern.
If you are trading on a breakout of the pattern, the most likely trades are where the overall direction of the market is the same as the inward and outward direction of the two-day pattern.
