• OHLC chart shows the open, high, low and close price for a given period.

  • Can be applied to any timeframe.
  • The vertical line represents the high and low for the period, while the line on the left marks the opening price and the line on the right the closing price. This entire structure is called a bar.
  • When the close is higher than the open, the bar often turns black. When the close is lower than the open, the bar often turns red.
