• The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is the federal agency that oversees the administration of Medicare, Medicaid, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program. As such, the agency is mandated to administer the mandatory reporting requirements that were imposed by the Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP Renewal Act of 2007 (MMSEA) on an entity providing any monetary compensation to a Medicare-eligible person as a result of workers’ compensation, general liability, or claim for no fault of the car.
