• Certified Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) is a professional designation given to an individual who has satisfactorily passed eight national exams covering the various stages of property casualty insurance (P&C) and meets industry expertise and ethical requirements. All CPCU candidates must complete five core courses in risk management, insurance operations, insurance law, insurance finance, and financial institutions. The candidate must then pass three more exams in either the personal or business direction. The CPCU program is operated by the American Institute of Certified Casualty Property Insurers, Inc.
