• Comprehensive personal liability is liability coverage that is usually found in Title II of a homeowner’s policy. It provides coverage for personal liability risks such as premises, personal activities, exposure to pets, some contracts, and some contingencies. Business-related losses and vehicle-related losses are usually excluded. This protection includes two main areas of action. The first relates to liability to other parties for bodily injury (BI) and property damage (PD). (Personal injury (PI) damages such as slander and slander are not covered.) The second refers to the costs of medical payments to others, which are payable regardless of legal liability. Comparable comprehensive personal liability insurance can be added through a personal liability supplement to a home insurance policy. Separate personal liability policies are almost obsolete.
