• Employee Rental Vehicle Approval is a Business Vehicle Policy (BAP) approval (CA 20 54) that extends the physical injury coverage provided to employees of specified insurers who rent or lease vehicles in their own name to promote their employer’s business. It changes the “who is insured” provision in the liability section to include such employees, and clarifies that for physical damage coverage, such vehicles are treated in the same way as other hired vehicles, i.e. considered to belong to the insured vehicles and therefore primary, and not redundant. (Confirmation requires the rental car to insure physical damage and liability.)
