• The existential cost of risk (XCOR) is the existential cost of risk, representing the “premium” that an insurer would charge if the company insured all of its risks. This can be considered as the cost that the company incurs to finance the risk of its continued existence. Not all business risks can rightly be called “insured”, but XCOR gives an idea of such costs.
