• Voluntary Foreign Worker Compensation (FVWC) coverage is required if the insured employs workers outside the United States or has a physical location in another country. FVWC coverage is sometimes referred to as employers’ liability insurance. It usually covers three categories of workers. * US Employed or “Expats”: These are citizens or legal residents of the United States who have been hired to work outside the United States. * Third Country Nationals (TCN): These are workers employed in a country outside the United States who are assigned to work in a country other than their country of origin. An example would be a French citizen assigned to work in the United Kingdom. * Local Citizens: These are workers hired outside the US to work in that country. For example, a French citizen posted to work in France is a local citizen.
